Although I love Jodi Picoult I'm afraid to say I haven't really read a book by her lately. I think her books take a while to read and you need to have time to enjoy them. While I'm managing college and homework I didn't feel as if I had adequate time to read a Jodi Picoult book. I would like to get a couple more read before her new novel Leaving Time comes out. It also gives us a chance to discuss the book as a group and get a couple more people to read books that they haven't read. Leave your suggestions below in the comments of which Jodi Picoult book you would like to read. If you have not read all of her books please suggest one you haven't read already and if you have read all of her books and have one you would like to reread go ahead and suggest it. If there is an overwhelming number of people that want to read the same book there will be no poll necessary, but if lots of people have different suggestions then a poll will be made.

Rules
Each person is only allowed to suggest one book. If you suggest more than one book I will only take your first suggestion.

I would really like to read Mercy. That can start us off.

Chantal (chantalo) | 2 comments I have read all her books but would love to follow your comments as you all read. I don't mind which book is chosen.

Heather | 24 comments Hi so the most voted seemed to be storyteller. I've started reading it! Would love to have a discussion! :)

Katherine | 2 comments Hello everyone, I am new to this group and Jodi is my favorite author! I've already read the storyteller but would love to join a discussion if enough people read the book :)

Audrey C (goodreadscomreadingprodigy) | 8 comments I started reading storyteller as well. It's fantastic but very disturbing. I'd love to know where sage got her scar.

message 13: by Heather (new)

Heather | 24 comments Me too! I've been waiting for the reveal but hasn't come yet. :(

message 14: by Heather (new)

Heather | 24 comments It's been an interesting start to say the least.

message 15: by Jacqueline (new)

Jacqueline (musicalcookies) | 2 comments I've JUST started reading Salem Falls. A bit intimated by the thickness of the book.

message 16: by Audrey (new)

Audrey C (goodreadscomreadingprodigy) | 8 comments I devour books like a lion after a gazelle. I'm already on p 340. I kinda think JP should've broken up Minka's actual account more. It's been really dragged out. Perhaps there could've been interjections by Leo that she knew the men.
But I think this is her best

message 17: by Katherine (new)

Katherine | 2 comments I agree Audrey! I read The Storyteller very quickly but felt overwhelmed at some points due to how long Minka's accounts lasted. I definitely think its one of her best regardless of that but I do wonder why she chose to make the details of Minka's life so long and clumped together the way they were! Also I don't know about anyone else but I love the subject, my favorite part about Jodi is that she is never afraid to dive into hard to digest topics that make her books even more alluring :)

message 18: by Audrey (new)

Audrey C (goodreadscomreadingprodigy) | 8 comments That's true Katherine. It's one of the reasons I love Jodi. I just finished it tonight, but I can't believe the way it ended. She has to tell Leo the truth at some point. That makes me so sad. I really resent Sage at the end.

message 19: by Eileen (new)

Eileen (longtimecouple1) | 7 comments Storyteller was actually next on my "to read" list, so I will start it this weeken, when does discussion start? That and Lone Wolf are the only ones of hers I haven't read..

Here's the Link to the Storyteller discussion thread. We did a readalong when the book first came out, but I would love for anybody to add their spoiler thoughts to the thread. I will set up a poll next week to pick our July readalong. Looks like the choices right now are Mercy, Second Glance. I'm up to more suggestions. I haven't read either of these and would love to read them with members.

Heather | 24 comments Heavy topic! I've just read about Josef's 23 year old self experiences. Painful! :(....... Mercy was a great book! Good idea for July!

Heather | 24 comments Audrey and Katherine, I am half way through minkas story and have skipped to part 3. It's such a horrific topic that being put all together like that is majorly intense! I'd like to finish reading it but yea, I'm finding it difficult to stomach! Brilliantly written though.
