The Challenge Factory discussion

If you plan to attend a county fair in Berkshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, South Gloucestershire or one of the surrounding areas, there's a chance you will witness a ferret race.



The STA Ferret Rescue is group of experienced ferret enthusiasts who rescue, rehabilitate and rehome ferrets from their Rescue Centre in Reading, Berkshire.
They promote the welfare of working, domestic and rescued ferrets.

Their specially designed race course consists of 4 sets of clear pipes with obstacles for the ferret to negotiate. (The pipes have been treated with a special coating so that they do not get warm in the sun.)

*jealous* My friend used to have three ferrets, and the two boys were such sweeties. The girl, though, was a she-beast, and she must've felt threatened (for no understandable reason), because she locked down on the fleshy bit between my index and middle finger, and it took my friend almost 3 minutes to get her to unclench (and literally every bit of my restraint to not scream and flail). I still would love to have a pet ferret (my 4 cats wouldn't, though), but I'd be very careful about the temperament before buying.

My daughter's ferrets were both boys. Hmmm, I wonder if the temperament is different.

Do you no who wrote it? I clicked on the title you gave me but there was a long list of books.

That's what Listopia is. People here on Goodreads create lists, and then others can add to the list or vote on the books already on the list.

If you'll go to the top of your screen, you'll see an 'explore' button. Click on the arrow to the right of 'explore', you'll get a drop-down menu to choose from. That's where you can find all kinds of good stuff, including Listopia. You'll be amazed at all the kinds of lists that have been made.
