Feel free to share with us your thoughts and feelings on a book you have just read. You can add new comments as you finish books or just update an existing one. It is your choice! I hope we all enjoy our reading material.

It's just a few days into November but I received a package and there were books several books. And two of them are really easy reads as they are children's books. And I am not ashamed of them. I think they are really cute. Plus they are by Shannon Hale.

The Princess in Black (The Princess in Black, #1) by Shannon Hale The Princess in Black and the Perfect Princess Party (The Princess in Black, #2) by Shannon Hale The 5th Wave (The 5th Wave, #1) by Rick Yancey The Infinite Sea (The 5th Wave, #2) by Rick Yancey The Arendelle Cup (Anna & Elsa, #6) by Erica David The Isle of the Lost (Descendants, #1) by Melissa de la Cruz A Semi-Charming Kind of Life (Ever After High A School Story, #3) by Suzanne Selfors Anna and the French Kiss (Anna and the French Kiss, #1) by Stephanie Perkins Once Upon A Pet A Collection of Little Pet Stories by Suzanne Selfors Snow Like Ashes (Snow Like Ashes, #1) by Sara Raasch Paranormalcy (Paranormalcy, #1) by Kiersten White

What did you think of Isle of the Lost?

I liked it. I listened to it so it was pretty entertaining. It was a little like c'mon get over your grudge already for a bit but it moved pretty fast. I hated that at the end it said to see what happens next watch The Descendants on the Disney channel. Yeah I already saw the Descendants but I don't want to have to watch a movie to get the next installment. I want there to be a next book. Also I thought that there could have been more going on in the Auradon part of the book. The book was too one sided. It would have been nice if the whole looking for the eye thing didn't take so long and the stuff from the movie got added in. Then it would have started merging the two worlds.

How about you? Did you see the movie?

Ryan M (raneymarie) | 89 comments Well so far this November I did finish up some book series (Rae Carsons & Kristin Cashore). Also, I did try to get the books to read on our list, but the downside of living in a small town is they either are checked out or do not have them in yet and I am not a fan of e-readers, so I just have to wait to read some of them. Anyhoo here is a list of what I read this last month:

Crown of Midnight (Throne of Glass, #2) by Sarah J. Maas , The Bitter Kingdom (Fire and Thorns, #3) by Rae Carson , Fire (Graceling Realm, #2) by Kristin Cashore , Bitterblue (Graceling Realm, #3) by Kristin Cashore , Frost Burned (Mercy Thompson, #7) by Patricia Briggs , Night Broken (Mercy Thompson, #8) by Patricia Briggs

I have to agree Megan. I have not seen the movie. I plan to soon.

Ryan M (raneymarie) | 89 comments We watched the Descendants Movie when it came out at our friends house, it was pretty good. I had not realized they had a book, I just knew about the movie as my daughter and my friends grandaughter kept seeing the commercial ad for the show and really wanted to watch it. I would be interested in checking out the book, it was a really cute idea to have a story about the children of the icon Disney fairytails both good and evil. The movie seemed like there was a lot more to the story which I assume some of the gaps are filled by the book.

You are probably right. Like how the kids got to where the prince and princesses' are living. Because they start off in a different place and Prince Ben is the one who comes up with a great idea and it kind of stops right there in the book with him. I really need to watch it. I think it is on Netflix and I just have to watch it when my husband isn't home because he saw bits and pieces of it and apparently was not to big of a fan of it. But of course it is different than what we grew up with so.
