I teach this book in my world lit. class. It is a good one!
It is very interesting. What kinds of questions do you pose to your students?
We talk a lot about how he goes from a slave-holding family to being a slave himself and also how harsh his life was at age twelve. Then we compare it to Candide by Voltaire and the world travel around the slave-trade routes.
Did you "buy" this book in 2015 or before? I bought this book in 2013 on a visit to Mystic, CT.
