I was worried about whether I would like this book, considering it's complete title is " This Is My Body: From Obesity to Ironman, My Journey into the True Meaning of Flesh, Spirit, and Deeper Faith" and I am agnostic, but I really enjoyed this book.
As much as I hate to read anything but murder mysteries, I really enjoy memoirs. Ragan's journey, both through life and through training for the ironman, is an enjoyable read. I was afraid this book would be too "happy" for me, as often I feel is the case with those who are religious*, but it was a realistic account of the faults, rants, and life experiences of Ragan.
Very enjoyable, I would recommend this.
*I realize this thought is biased and not likely to be true. I am afraid of people who seem to be happy all the time and most likely associate this sort of "all-around happy" appearance with religious people.
