Sydney Khan I finished the series. I loved it! It was probably one of my favourite books of all time! There was so much emotion and feeling to the story. It made it very realistic.
I remember in the first book, the Angels in the aerie are drinking and smoking.

That was pretty weird...

Nuran I really loved the first and second book, but the third was disappointing. There was a lot of things that was off about the last book like suddenly being able to time travel by stabbing a sword into a demon. Time travelling to a few thousands years ago and yet they all speak like they are from the modern world. And what made the other two books work for me was Penryn and her sister's relationship which took a back seat in the third one, and yet, after everything they've been through, Penryn let Raffe get between them.

Overall, good series that ended poorly.

Sydney Khan I have to agree on that opinion. But World After for me didn't seem that exciting, it was more like a 'putting things back together to make sense' book. First book was awesome, second book was ok, and third book was a bit better.

Nikita I loved it. It is one of my favorite series. I loved everything about it, the plot, the story, the writing, the characters, everything. Even parts that were creepy. It was awesome. Penryn was an awesome character. I loved her. Raffe was cool. I loved that the romance between Penryn and Raffe wasn't immediate but developed over time, making it more real.

I was a little sad that the series was cut from a five book series to a trilogy and disappointed that it ended in my opinion too quickly. But it was still amazing and I loved it.

message 5: by Kin (new) - rated it 4 stars

Kin Can anyone tell me how the series progresses? I mean I thought the first book was okay, I liked it, but does it turn all depressing later on?

That's what usually happens to most futuristic books. I'd hate to read book that went down hill

I wouldn't say it get depressing, there are some sad points but they don't really stay sad, and Penryn certainly doesn't really suffer from post traumatic stress or anything like that.

Nurlely I love the series. It gets darker but still interesting to read. Book 1 is superb! I think World After is more an extension to book 1 since it offers nothing new for the plot but since I love Angelfall, I have no complaints for World After.

I still love End of Days, since it offers more to read than book 2, despite its flaws. I suppose not all writers can be JRR Tolkien, with his amazing works. It took years for him to create a world where the inhabitants speak totally different languages.

I hope Susan Ee will write that 'hell-hole' world as another story so I can understand and enjoy book 3 more.
