C.R. Richards I often read favorite books 2 or 3 times, but "Still Life with Crows" is one of those stories I can't get enough of. I have the print copy, ebook and audio formats. What is it about this book? Why do I love it so much? The authors deliver enigmatic Special Agent Pendergast via bus into the middle of corn country, Kansas. He is completely out of his element, yet guides us on a terrifying mystery that kept me on the edge of my seat. Has anyone else read it? What did you think?

Cindy Ehrenreich This was the first Pendergast book I read. I bought it at an airport & read it on vacation. I enjoyed it, but didn't really give it further thought. A short time later, I downloaded a Nook book & Cabinet of Curiosities was given as a special freebie. As I read that book, I kept thinking that I know this character. After checking the authors bibliography, I recognized Still Life With Crows. It was a great book (& I was very happy to Corrie reappear later in the series) but it was Cabinet of Curiosities that made me want to read every book in the series. I am eagerly awaiting next weeks release of Crimson Shore.

Cabinet of Curiosities is my second favorite. It scares me every time!

CartoonistAndre My wife and I, enjoyed Relic and Reliquary years ago. It was our first taste of Preston & Child's Pendergast series but while I continued the series my wife leaned toward other genre's.

Besides the riveting mysteries in every story there's always a sense of adventure where Pendergast is virtually a supernatural being but not over the top. I was hooked when the background was so familiar to me, the subways of New York, and The Museum Of Natural History, where I'd visited often during my early teens.

Cabinet Of Curiosities was definitely the best of the series and there were a few predictable novels in between, but all in all, they were all page-turners. I hope Crimson Shore eclipses COC!

Me too! The trailer looks amazing.

Patricia I have read most of them, but Relic and Reliquary are my favorites.
I did not care for Crimson Shore as much as some of the other Pendergast books I have read.

Brady I love all their books. They are masters. Their individual titles are great as well.

Candy I've read them all but didn't much care for the 'Helen and the sons' ones. When I read 'Crimson Shore', I felt like they were back to the type of plot that gave me 'Still Life With Crows', so I'm eagerly awaiting the new one!

Gladys I have read all of their books and find them awesome. I still look forward to their new novels.
