Rodney Carlson (rodneycarlson) | 5 comments Last night brought a large solar storm to our planet. The Aurora Borealis was seen as far south as my home town in Memphis. Reports say that it will be seen again tonight. If you live north of that latitude, find a dark area and see if you can witness it. I missed it last night, but intend to give it a try tonight. This will be my first viewing of the phenomenon and I'm exited to get the chance. One thing to cross off my list. If you see it tonight, tell us your thoughts.

Rodney Carlson (rodneycarlson) | 5 comments Wouldn't you know it, just before dark a cloud bank covered all our area and just stopped. I wouldn't know if it was visible or not. I think the same clouds that were overhead last night are the same ones I see now. At least if the clouds were moving I might have got a glimpse between them. I guess it's future road trip north.
