Fatal Destiny by Marie Force

With the week of their wedding finally upon them, Washington, D.C., Police Lieutenant Sam Holland and her fiance, Senator Nick Cappuano, are at odds. In the aftermath of a tragic loss, they struggle to reconnect as the big day draws near, but their work keeps pulling them apart. When a new clue into a cold case surfaces, Nick asks Sam not to take any foolish chances before the wedding and to leave it alone for the time being.

Sam agrees, but she can't let it go entirely and winds up trapped in an explosive situation. Then an unwelcome visitor from her past threatens her future happiness... With trouble at every turn, will Sam survive long enough to walk down the aisle?

Elishia | 2620 comments I might read this straight after I finish Fatal Consequences (Fatal, #3) by Marie Force depending on how it ends.

Sue | 205 comments One of the better novella's out there in my opinion, especially wedding novella's which I think are a waste of time. I'm disappointed 9 out of 10 times not sure why I bother... wait I think this one is the reason why I bother.

Well if that isn't a good endorsement :-)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments I started it yesterday and am enjoying it. Real Life pulled me away; otherwise, I would have finished it.

Lara | 2335 comments I just started listening to the audiobook. It starts with a focus on Sam and Nick's relationship.

Lara | 2335 comments Okay, Sam is sooo emotionally out-of-touch. (view spoiler)

ShoSho (shoshost) | 12263 comments I finished it in one sitting! I really liked it. I thought it was the best in the series so far.
I'll come back with more comments in the morning.

Glad you enjoyed it, as I said it's more than a wedding TG.

Elishia | 2620 comments ooh hopefully I can pick up today if I finish what I'm reading

Lara | 2335 comments ShoSho, it looks like your anti-wish is coming true: (view spoiler).

One thing that bothers me about these books is the vicious personalities and interactions Sam has with certain people over and over again. I'd think she'd be a bit better at handling some of them, but apparently not.

In my life, I'm not accustomed to having people be so hateful. Maybe it's the life of a cop? I just find I don't like those scenes as the people are so nasty and keep showing up.

What are you reading?

Elishia | 2620 comments I was finishing Furies of Calderon (Codex Alera, #1) by Jim Butcher

Silvia Finished Fatal Destiny (Fatal, #3.5) by Marie Force and loved it! Couldn't put it down!! Even though Sam aggravated me again, I still loved all the hearts and flowers! ; )

Sue | 205 comments This was the second time around for me, I had forgotten so much so it was great to re-listen to this novella. I think it only had 20-25% wedding for those who shy away from that type of novella. Still one of the better novella's out there.

Elishia | 2620 comments I finished and really liked this one, I thought they might of just thrown the wedding at the end but glad we actually got some details. I'm really hoping Sam is over her secrets they're never small ones either.
