Here is the place to share your thoughts on November's BOTM Wuthering Heights. Tell us what you think! Love it, hate it, don't want to read it, re-reading it for the 37th time? Just let us know what your thoughts are on it!

That's ok I understand! It's definitely not required. I will honestly only be reading this because it fits in with one of my 2015 reading challenge categories. Otherwise I would be digging into my ever growing pile of 'Oh this looks interesting I need to hoard it on my nightstand until I find the time to get around to it' books. :)

Jenny (mentha) | 333 comments Reading it. Has been on my tbr list for a while now. Though it is Bronte and I've tried Jane Eyre and could not like it. So I'm a bit worried.

Well I actually really enjoyed Jane Eyre when I read it. That being said, the reason Wuthering Heights fits a category on my 2015 reading list is because it was a book that I started but never finished. At the time I just couldn't get into it. Hopefully that's a different story and I can get into it now but we'll see!

If anyone is still reading or did read this book how are you or how did you like it? I have still not finished it but I am enjoying it! I should have had more time over the holiday to read it but we ended up doing a lot of stuff around the house so I just didn't get around to it sadly.

Jenny (mentha) | 333 comments Yub. It was fantastic ridiculous and stupid fun. I liked it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! To me it feels almost like a Victorian Era reality TV series. And just like any other reality TV series, its so ridiculous you can't look away haha. I love it!

Kandice I've read this, but didn't want to reread, but I can agree with the soap opera vibe. Made me roll my eyes a lot more than once!

haha yep! I'm glad I didn't finish it when I was younger though because I don't think I would have seen the humor in it like I do now.

Kandice Probably not. Each of my children had to read it for school and all hated it. I didn't read it for school, but rather for a classics challenge my brother and I had as teens. Still didn't love it.

Well to each their own I say! It's ok not to like a book that someone else loves haha. I know I've experienced that many times myself!

Jenny (mentha) | 333 comments Its like a victorian version of Pretty Little lyers or Jane the Virgin. My and my roomy watch tons of that stuff simply because its stupid entertainment. I don't think it was meant to be taken seriously at all but rather read outloud with a bunsh of friends in the kitchen on winter evenings, laughing and gasping at every turn. A chapter at a time. You know, like how most people watch soap operas. I was always told it was "great classic literature" but did not expect it to be so ... non-literary. I really liked it :)

Perfect explanation Jenny! I could not have said it better myself haha

Jenny (mentha) | 333 comments Goes to show that entertainment has not changed that much through the years. ^,^
