Hi all! We are learning about dialogue in my ELA class and I believe the dialogue in Twisted is very good.I love how Anderson puts Tyler's inner dialogue in italics. I think this is cool because it takes the reader out of the story world and into Tyler's head. This is also an example of framed narrative. In my own writing I would like to include this technique because it is very unique. Also, through Tyler's dialogue Anderson shows his character by showing his tone. Tone is the way a character says something, like their tone of voice. This is very helpful when understanding certain situations. By taking us out of the story world Anderson shows a very different perspective on the situation. Please respond with any comments!
