I'd like to second The Line of Beauty, which I read earlier in the year and thought it was fantastic.

Thanks Maxwell :)

Wow this is getting tricky already....
I'll second The Sea, since I'd hoped to read it this year anyway.
I'll give my second second to The Line of Beauty - another one I started a few years ago but put down for some reason (as with The God of Small Things, which I am really enjoying).
I nominate The Bone People by Keri Hulme (1985), because I'm going to be reading David Mitchell's The Bone Clocks next month, and I like the way those titles speak to one another. Plus, 30 years since it won is a pleasing number.

PS How do I hyperlink to books like you smart people have?

I'd like to nominate The Luminaries, if this has already been nominated please count this as a second. Also I would like to second The Inheritance of Loss.
Thanks :)

Ah yes, I see that now. Thanks!

Hi Anja, all of those were already nominated, so you can only vote for 2. Do you want to specify which two? Otherwise I will count the first two, Blind Assassin and Luminaries. Thanks :)

Maxwell, I believe I did the same thing with my nominations as Anja did. Being new to the group, I misunderstood. (Re-read the instructions after I nominated) Please accept my second as The Inheritance of Loss and my other second as The Sea.
Thanks and sorry for any confusion. I'm enjoying the reading, the comments and thank you for moderating.

Same as last month, you are able to nominate 1 book and second any 2 books that other people nominate.
Of course it has to be a previous Man Booker Prize winner. It would be extra helpful if you could put the URL to the book's Goodreads page as well for easy reference, and if you know the year it won the prize that would be nice too, but not necessary.
I will start off the nominations with The Sea by John Banville (2005)!
Nominations will close on Sunday, November 22 @ midnight PST!
Happy voting!
