I haven't received it from the library yet and it's not an option on overdrive :-(
I am finishing up Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter and then getting started with Carry On!
I didn't realize that this was the BOTM, and I just happen to be reading it! That's exciting! I am enjoying it so far (about 35% in according to my Kindle). The resemblances to Harry Potter are pretty uncanny (I believe intentionally so, although I have not done any research to confirm this), but it has a more adult feel. It definitely has me engaged!
About halfway into the book and am really loving it. I made the mistake of flipping through the book and saw a picture near the end of book and it was a total spoiler!! Now I really want to finish to see what actually happens :)
It's still on hold at the library. :(

I'm about 60% in and I had to pry if from my hands to go to bed! It took me a while to get started. I was surprised how long it took Baz to show up! But once he did, it was worth the wait! Why can't he tell the whole story?!

So I actually had a question for the group. I'm on page 50 and I was just wondering...was there a book prior to Carry On with these characters in it? I've never read anything by this author so I was wondering if there is prior information or background on the characters and some of the terms used?? Thanks!
Not really. The contemporary book, Fangirl, was obcessed with a book series that the author made up and she decided to write it afterwards. So there's really only one Carry On book. It all eventually makes sense. (At least it did to me)

This is our mid-month check-in for Carry On! How is everyone doing with the book? Have you started yet? Already finished? Still waiting to start (like me!)? For those of you who have started or finished, what are some of your initial thoughts? Do you like/not like Carry On? Why?
