I am about half way through. I am enjoying Adam and Juliette but I know it's not going to stay so mellow I guess. The book is good, but I am not seeing what all the hype is about I guess. I do plan to read the sequel after though. Are you planning to read the sequel?

I think that is what I might end up doing, but I have heard that Ignite Me is the best by far of the three so I want to get there to see how good it gets.

At first I found the writing style interesting, intriguing even. As the book progresses though it gets annoying for me in some parts. I just want to know what is happening but every line had to have metaphors/symbolism and just full sentences. I admire it in a way but continuously it can get a bit much.
i finished this book this morning and it was good. It definitely left me interested enough to keep reading the series but it was just good.
Sentences like these left me slightly annoyed, as if the writing style had to be so detailed.
"Juliette?" He doesn't move an inch. His gaze is fixed on me: calm, unflappable; 2 buckets of river water at midnight. I'd like to cry into his eyes.
"Juliette--" His body presses closer and I realized I'm paying attention to nothing but the dandelions blowing wishes in my lungs.
Her life is so incredibly unbearable so immensely multifaceted to glamorous for the leashed legacy of her loins to understand.
I also didn't particularly like the 'insta-love' side of it. I get it they loved each other but I just feel it wasn't a get to know each other romance yet a admire from the other side of the playground then kiss once and fall in love.
Although my comments may sound slightly negative I did enjoy it and probably will read the rest if the series.

I am really hoping I do. I am still unsure whether to read the novellas in between though.

I haven't read Fracture Me, but Destroy Me shows really good character insight into Warner and it's so good i swear

I think it would definitely be interesting to read from his P.O.V and I read excerpts from it at the end of Shatter Me, so I am thinking I may invest in Unite Me which has both of them :)

Kind of an x-men thing going on here, don't you think? Haha (: ~ I've heard people comment that it's like x-men and I get it with the spandex suits. I can't imagine Juliette with that plum thing on her.
Warner's POV is awesome in Destroy Me Lisa. It's very much a precursor to what Unravel me is like and it made me super happy (:
Agree :)
I've heard people say that they were annoyed by the cross-outs in Shatter Me but I kinda liked it after my initial shock was over. It's really cool how the cross-outs tend to disappear more and more through the books. Hell yes for Character development.

cross-outs?

Oh!!! No, I don't think you were using it wrong. I was thinking that you were saying the cross-outs were the novellas. I don't know what I was thinking really. I didn't mind them either. And you are right, they did disappear more and more through the series.

Oh hahaha I was so confused like 'have I been using the word wrong for my whole life??'

I'm reading Ignite Me right now and I lovee the relationship between Kenji and Juliette
I really loved the concept of the cross outs, because it was something so unique and showed how she still held on to that vivid sense of reality.
LINH I am so happy you referred to Lex Luthor in Smallville as I was trying to pinpoint who he reminded me of and I think that is who!!
I admire how Kenji is used to lighten the mood within the dystopian world as I think it is essential to elevate the constant 'doomed' feeling.

Imagine Warner talk with Lex's voice help me read the trilogy real fast. And Warner's dad in Unravel Me is exactly like Lionel Luthor: Handsome, charming, cruel and cunning.
I love how Kenji deal with Juliette angst :D

I'll keep Lionel Luthor in mind when I get to read Unravel Me :)

Someone referenced him as Loki in a review I read and I thought that made total sense too :P
I keep craving to be back in this world, which I thought wouldn't happen.
I also received a book today called The Girl with All the Gifts and it sounds almost as if Juliette was a little girl. Just thought I would share my opinion.

I've already started the book and enjoying it so far. It is very dystopian and unique in the way that part of the protagonists (Juliette) thoughts are crossed out on the page.
Has anyone already read this?
