So, well, as voted on, this week's read will be my very own HIDDEN: http://amzn.to/1gINtcw which is $4.99 on Kindle.

Also, as I am the author, I'm open to any questions etc. that you might have as to writing process, why I wrote this book, what is it about books about potential infidelity that makes people so angry, etc. Happy reading.

Beth | 145 comments I have not been very good at keeping up with the books that this group has been reading this year but I just bought Hidden and will read it this week along with the group.

I'm looking forward to it and I also own Forgotten and one of these days I will get around to reading that one too! (joined too many books clubs and have too many reading commitments).

Thanks, Beth. Hope you like it.

Sandra | 86 comments I read this book last August and had to go back and see how I reviewed this book... Apparently I liked it! I would be very interested to know why you chose to write about this topic. It seems that a few of the books I have read lately deal with infidelity. I'm not sure why I read books that are about something I really don't like, but I liken it to a car crash, we all crane our necks as we go past...

Abigail Hall I'm 85% finished with this book and I have really enjoyed it. Refreshing after some of the recent books I've read.

Carla Palmeiro (carlapalmeiro) Finally...I already wondered why we haven't read one of your books yet. I'm not reading it for now...I've been buying tons of books but mainly from last year.

Rebecca (purplerrr) | 76 comments This book was a bonus for us Kindle owners/Prime customers on Amazon. Read it last month and really enjoyed it. It's so great to see Catherine's command of character and plot maturing. I've liked her books from the beginning but now she's morphed into a must-read author. In this book I really liked that it didn't go where I expected and kept me guessing until the very end. Well done!

Hi Sandra. So glad you liked it. I chose the topic for a bunch of reasons but partly because I wanted to see if I could meet a personal challenge: in other books I'd read around infidelity, there was always a clear good guy and bad guy. I wanted to see if I could explore all three points of view, and make the reader understand each of them even if they didn't approve of their actions.

Thanks so much, Rebecca!

Therese Walsh Catherine, love your response to why (and how) you wrote about this topic. Your refusal to create black and white characters makes them read like authentic people on the page, and is likely the reason your stories defy predictability. Brava!

Beth | 145 comments I started this book yesterday and I have to admit that I was a little anxious because I don't normally read books written by people I "know" (even though I have never met Catherine and only know her from this book club) and I wondered what I would say if I didn't like the book?

I needn't have worried because from Page 1 I have been riveted! Catherine, I love your writing style (which I guess I knew from having read so many of your book reviews) and I am finding the topic and the characters fascinating.

I'll post again when I am finished but thrilled that I didn't have to figure out a nice way to say "don't quit your day job" - LOL.

Thanks so much, Beth! And it's totally fine if people didn't like it - please feel free to say so.

Irony: my 'day job' is as a lawyer - I write in my spare time :)

Ceylan (CeyGo) (ceylo) I read this last year and really liked it. Would love to know why you chose the ending you chose; I was hoping it ended another way - trying to ask a question without saying too much and giving away any spoilers - not so easy it seems - so perhaps I'm not making much sense.

I did recently read Forgotten, and I enjoyed it. I agree with Rebecca, that the writing style and character development in Hidden was much better :) I can only imagine that the next one will be even better !

Beth | 145 comments This probably doesn't belong here but I read Arranged over the weekend and loved it - I think in some ways even better than Hidden - although I gave both 5 stars.

Great writing and really interesting story topics on both books - kudos!

I agree Beth. Arranged was my favourite book by Catherine so far...

I think for me the story (Arranged) hit closer to home and I could really identify with the character. Although there are many books that I have loved, this book felt more personal to me, in a sense, so in addition to loving the story and wanting to know how it ended, I felt a real connection to Anne.

Yes, Carla it was! And that is so cool - actually, I think it's my book FORGOTTEN (Girl on the cover with a suitcase, yes?)

Arlene Morrell | 103 comments I really enjoyed this book the story is very well written. The story revolves around the lives of three people and how they handled their relationship with each other. The characters are all likeable. The big question remains what would you do if you were in their situation? The decisions they made not only affected their individual lives but those that are around them. A lot of thought provoking questions.

Glad I had a chance to read this book.
