Genre (fantasy, contemporary, mystery, etc.):
Sub/genres (YA, Adult, Middle Grade, etc.):
SUB-sub-genres (humor, tear-jerking moments, swoon-worthy romance, etc.):
Absolutely cannot have (kissing, blood and guts, sadness, etc.):
Male or female protagonist:
Long or short book:
Additional notes:

Let me give you an example.

Let's say Joe needs a new book to read. He comes here and fills out this sheet.

Genre (fantasy, contemporary, mystery, etc.): Contemporary romance
Sub/genres (YA, Adult, Middle Grade, etc.): YA
SUB-sub-genres (humor, tear-jerking moments, swoon-worthy romance, etc.): Humor and tear-jerking moments
Absolutely cannot have (kissing, blood and guts, sadness, etc.): Characters with no personality :P
Male or female protagonist: Female
Long or short book: Medium. 300-400 pages.
Additional notes: I love books that can make me laugh and cry.

And from that, I give him: THE FAULT IN OUR STARS!!! :)

Tricia | 64 comments This sounds fun and I'll be done exams in a couple of weeks so something to read may be nice.

Genre: Fantasy
Sub-Genre: Adult or YA
Sub-sub-genres: Open for anything
Absolutely cannot have: Incest (too many Greek plays sooo done with it), a protagonist younger than 15, or romance as the central plot.
Male or Female Protagonist: Either or
Long or Short book: Long book 400 pages+
Additional Notes: Something with fantastical creatures not just people with magical properties.

Kate Foley (themagicviolinist) @Tricia Check out GRACELING by Kristin Cashore! :) It's been a while since I've read it, but I'm almost positive it has magical creatures as well. I would recommend the MORTAL INSTRUMENTS series to you, but that has a lot of romance in it, especially in the later books. :P

Absolutely cannot have: Horror, Gore, romance as central plot, UNLESS there's lots of action in it to level it out. Ex. Throne of Glass
Male or Female Protagonist: Either. Maybe leaning more toward female....
Long or Short: Eh 250+ I'd say...
