Jeannette | 603 comments Can't wait for the movie and liked the book. Except I don't exactly get the point of splitting a smallish book into 3 3 hr long movies

In two words?

Money, honey.

Jeannette | 603 comments True only problem is you CAN NOT watch this movie with kids

message 11: by Jeannette (new)

Jeannette | 603 comments Most kids don't have the patience to sit still for 3hrs

Birdsong231☾ (pm before invs) (birdsong231) | 139 comments I can't sit still either, yet I can't take my eyes off these movies. I'm 13 and I got the 1st part of The Hobbit when I was 11. I was still technically a kid/child. I have no patience(?) at all and yet I was able to stay down for the all 3 hours. I could sit for 18 hours for all 3 movies of The Lord of the Rings AND The Hobbit. Now that takes a lot of patience. But then again, I'm a LotR & Hobbit loving fangirl, so it might be different for others but there's enough epicness for almost any child to sit still, eyes wide every time Thorin Oakenshield, Bilbo Baggins and the other dwarves almost die. O-O I know I was! It all depends if you can stand watching violence or not. I'm also terrified of spiders. I cannot believe I was able to watch HUGE spiders when I'm scared of spiders!

Jeannette | 603 comments No when I say child I mean like someone who is 6 or 7

Birdsong231☾ (pm before invs) (birdsong231) | 139 comments Again, it all depends if you can stand watching violence.

I saw more kids in the auditorium I was in for the second movie of the trilogy than adults and the kids were, for the most part,. much better behaved than the ADULTS!

Just goes to show that it depends on the kid.

Jeannette | 603 comments Well I guess it my personal experience with younger children that was terrible because they just wanted to get out of there and run around
