Thanks for the catch.
Thanks for the catch.

Started the New Year by reading a play Inherit the Wind. This is my second play and, the first being A Doll's House, so far I'm finding I like them.

I have begun Lamb in His Bosom and have Death Comes for the Archbishop up next...we seem to be reading in tandem.
I'm starting Schindler's List tonight, fingers crossed, I should have Level One Four Corners Bingo by Sunday

I'll look out for your thoughts, this is on both my list and my shelf :)
Been reading Schindler's List to finish my fourth corner B-5, so I can loudly yell BINGO FOUR CORNERS. I was just looking at the bingo board and realized I've had a diagonal Bingo since the 18th, so (yelling with excitement) BINGO LEVEL ONE DIAGONAL!!

You yell all you want to, Bob. I can't believe you have 2-bingos already. I am so all over the place! Hurray for you.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, I’ve worked so hard to get here. I’ve reached the pinnacle of reading success. It can’t get any better than a Gold Cup. Now I have to decide what to do. Do I retire at the top, or risk the pain of losing my champion status.

Well as promised I will quietly announce my second Level One Bingo (Four Corners) I have now completed 8 of 24 books toward Black Out Bingo.
I have read some good books for this challenge but the best is:
Lamb in His Bosom
followed by
Death Comes for the Archbishop
and
Schindler's List
all solid reads and I heartily recommend.

I'm shocked that this amazing book isn't more well-known--and it deserves to be!
So many of us discovered Lamb in His Bosom this month. I decided I needed to go back and see what other Pulitzer winners I have missed. Death Comes for the Archbishop is on my TBR and quite near the top, glad you recommend it.
I loved Death Comes for the Archbishop -- my introduction to Willa Cather. Planning on reading One of Ours soon.
I loved the movie on Schindler's List and really need to read the book.
And now I really need to read Lamb in His Bosom!

✓N5: Classic of Europe-Pastoral by Nevil Shute, Anthing by Shute is a Classic, 2/4/16
Another great read. It would be hard to pick my favorite author, but Nevil Shute is certainly top tier, never disappointing.

Well I'm halfway, finished #12 yesterday and picked up #13 this morning. I've been lucky with Bingo, every book I've read this year fits, unlike the A-Z Challenges
# 11 - I4: Banned Book - A Separate Peace, 2/8/16
#12 - G2: Book from Le Monde’s 100 Books of the Century-The Hound of the Baskervilles, 2/11/16

Of the first 12 books Lamb in His Bosom is still tops on the lists, followed closely by Pastoral. but every book to date I can easily recommend, all good.
