Who do you think is the better heroine, based on either the books or the tv shows: Elena Michaels from Bitten or Elena Gilbert from The Vampire Diaries?

I had a very hard time getting into Elena from Bitten. But reading the rest of the series she grew on me. As for Elena Gilbert, I can't totally get behind her character really. I mean the show is more or less surrounding her sort of. But yet there is so much pass history stuff going on that is far bigger and more important than her, that it over shadows anything she does. So she is just very adrift in the show and it's annoying.

Books or T.V. show?

If its books then Bitten, no contest.

Even in the world of the shows, I think Elena from Bitten could kick Elena from the Vamp Diaries behind, literally.

Interesting! Who would win in a fight? Vamp Elena is pretty weak, but i think she has more superhuman speed. Wolf Elena has strength but would need to be in wolf form to catch Vamp Elena first. Overall I think it would be pretty even, not to mention fun to watch!

I was going more by the TV show, but either way. What do you think makes Bitten's Elena more relate-able/likable/better?

Vampire Elena may have the speed. But she also has way more angst and Bitten Elena was shown to be swift enough when she needed to be in human form. Probably a quick clothesline maneuver to take down the vamp Elena in a heart beat.

I think that Elena from Bitten is better, but I've only watched five episodes so far, and I watched up to season 6 of the Vampire Diaries. Everything is too centered on Elena. I get that the show is mostly about her, but it went too far with her always being the damsel in distress. At least Elena from Bitten gets involved a lot, and is really important besides just being a girl that all the guy's like.
