Although I hate reading about snow in the summer, I'm still going to nominate this re-telling of the Snow Queen
by Eileen Kernaghan for the YA book.
For Adult I would like to nominate
by Charles de Lint because I feel like rereading. It is my favourite of all De Lint's books. It is also one that can be read without having read the previous Newford books, so a good place to start if you've never read him.
For those of you who are doing the challenge, both books I've nominated will count as they are in the Endicot list.

They all sound good, so far!
I'm really looking forward to it!
Boo... I found a great sounding book to nominate, but when I checked, it's only been published in Australia.
Back to square one.
Back to square one.

Back to square one."
I hate when that happens.
I'll nominate

For adults I'll nominate In the Forest of Forgetting. About half the stories in the anthology are fairy tale related or retellings.

For adult, I nominate The Rose and the Beast: Fairy Tales Retold. For YA, Wildwood.
Wildwood is written by the lead singer of the band The Decemberists, which have a fairy tale rock opera album The Hazards of Love that I like. But a friend of mine read this and said it was just okay, though we've disagreed on books before.

For YA: The Treachery of Beautiful Things by Ruth Frances Long

The Enchanted Castle by Edith Nesbit

It looks to me like there are more YA than Adult books, so I am going to un-nominate
The Snow Queen. That's fine with me! I've just experienced a long Canadian Winter and I've had enough snow! There are many other nominations that look good and I can read this version of Snow Queen next winter.

I'll nominate [bookco..."
I think I will second this one ([book:The Hummingbird's Daughter|91289]), sounds like a wonderful book!

(3) A critic work on fairy tales etc (such as a literary study or author biography)
(4) A work heavily influenced by fairy tales.
