I finished reading the book a few days ago, and I am quite sure that I have not seen this quote anywhere in the book. The book was told throughout in the third person, yet the quote is in the first person. I've done some searches on the Internet and I suspect the quote is actually the last line in the film adaptation (starring Colin Firth), which has never appeared in the original work by Christopher Isherwood.
If I am correct, should the quote be deleted? It's the most popular quote from the book, although it seems that it is not actually from the book...
