What are your first thoughts about the short stories you have read?

I've been reading Seen Reading by Julie Wilson. They're almost micro stories versus short stories (though not as tiny as Arjun Basu's Twisters!). I find I have to read some stories twice since there are a lot of subtleties that I miss the first time. As many reviewers have commented, there's really little link between the story and the reader she describes so I've stopped trying to see how they connect. Despite their brevity, some of the stories are moving and really pack a lot of emotion in a short space.

That sounds like a very interesting book Jennifer. Would you recommend it?
