Ayla What are your thoughts on this book?

I think it's a little different from the others, I was rather disappointed in the fact that there were rarely any "woman's murder club" meetings in this book and she barely even works with her own people in the hall. It's was kind of odd that she worked out of town on this one. But it did make a nice twist.
And that Court case, that was ridiculous, I couldn't believe they had to take it to a jury, but she made it out and that was the give in. On a side note: I LOVE that She and Joe are working out! She deserves to be happy! I was very upset when (Chris?) was killed in that first one, damn it! But she's finding love!

What do you all think?

Monica Akinyi Odhiambo I agree the death of Chris was a shocker.I think maybe they wanted to focus more on Lindsay than the group, though I believe strongly in the "Women's Murder club."

Ayla That could be it, and the death of Jill, that pissed me off, maybe they were giving them a chance to "Grieve". Didn't they say it was hard to meet so soon after? Or was that the 3rd one?

Cindy Love the club, but I suppose the plots have to change up a bit so those of us series lovers won't get bored. Love to read books with strong women, and it is nice there is even more than one strong woman. Good series.

Ayla I guess that does make sense, it just kind of through me off guard. I too love the fact that there are several strong woman in this series.

what does everyone think of the newbie?

Monica Akinyi Odhiambo I love the newbie, ofcourse she doesnt compare to the strong personality Jill had but she has her strengths.Am glad they decided to include her in their club even though they wouldnt have felt that a major replacement of Jill wasn't waranted.

Ayla Yuki is great! She plays a HUGE roll in the 5th horseman. I'm not sure if I like her more than Jill though. I'm not quite sure yet though.

Janie Roeschlein I love July 4 book it was great it was different then the others Women murder club book but some of then need to be different if they would all the same you would stop reading them I was in shocker when Chris was kill off and I was pissed off when Jill got kill off. I love the women murder club.and I like Yuki

message 9: by Buddhagan (new) - added it

Buddhagan I too was really upset when Jill was killed esp so soon in the series. But it seems like Yuki is the replacement, good for diversity. I'm on my upteenth reread because I always get sidetracked with other series and I forget where I left off!
