Lexie wrote: "Cool! I should give it a try then."

Start with Sword of Shannara :D

Because The Dark Legecy of Shannara Spoils You For The Ending of The First Season, Especially In Book 2 of The Trilogy

The book gets better

message 20: by Morgan (new)

Morgan | 12 comments Oh my goodness Victoria! I loved The Stranger! And Lexie, I loved Red Queen!!! The Six of Crows was kind of too slow for me, but it was still interesting in how it was written.
I'm going way back and reading Lord of the Rings right now :D So great

message 21: by Taylor (new)

Taylor | 1735 comments LOTR is a classic :)

message 22: by Victoria (new)

Victoria (victoriammd) I want to read it too one day, I'll think I do it during the summer vacation, it's a long read right?

message 23: by Morgan (new)

Morgan | 12 comments It can be. It just depends on what style of writing you prefer to read. I remember when I was younger I tried to read it and thought that it was very long-winded, but now I'm breezing through it without any problems!

message 24: by Victoria (new)

Victoria (victoriammd) My sister had the same problem, she said that the beginning bored her because it was just the family tree of the hobbit and that it wasn't that interesting. She was 15 then and probably wouldn't think the same now. That's what made me hesitant, because she's a huge fan of fantasy normally, and I thought that if she didn't like it, I wouldn't either.

message 25: by Taylor (last edited Dec 14, 2015 08:51AM) (new)

Taylor | 1735 comments You should give it a chance :)

message 26: by Victoria (new)

Victoria (victoriammd) I will, after I finish all my finals, right now I'm too busy to start reading something so big... I really hate being in college sometimes!

message 27: by Morgan (new)

Morgan | 12 comments I completely agree with you Victoria! Finals are crazy right now! I'm lucky if I can sneak in some reading time between classes XD

message 28: by Taylor (new)

Taylor | 1735 comments I am dreading college as my sister said it is awful.

message 29: by Victoria (new)

Victoria (victoriammd) Morgan: Me too, usually I say I'm going to study and then I end up reading for two hours... And I've completely stopped watching all my tv shows until I'm done on Friday!
Taylor: You shouldn't be afraid, it's great other than the finals and the midterms. It's really interesting to really study a subject that you're interested in. Do you already know what you want to do?

message 30: by Taylor (new)

Taylor | 1735 comments I am hoping to get a degree in science (chemistry) I want to go to Pantheon Sorbonne or The University of Paris, but I heard they are really hard to get into :(

message 31: by Victoria (new)

Victoria (victoriammd) It depends, in France, university are public and anyone with a high school degree can get into it, at least that's that for French citizens. Like in my college anyone can get into it, if they are public school than it will be no problem getting into them. The problem is if they are private, then it might be harder, and a lot more expensive. But good luck, and if you need help in French you can always ask me! :)

message 32: by Taylor (new)

Taylor | 1735 comments Thanks so much, Victoria!

message 33: by Lexie, Reading and writing is my paradise! (new)

Lexie | 758 comments Mod
I think I want to go to university but I'm not too sure what I want to do yet. I was thinking a secondary English teacher, but I'm not certain. I need to get a pretty good mark in my HSC to get into the University I want to get in.

message 34: by Taylor (new)

Taylor | 1735 comments Is the HSC difficult ?

message 35: by Lexie, Reading and writing is my paradise! (new)

Lexie | 758 comments Mod
Yeah it's going to be pretty hard.

message 36: by Victoria (new)

Victoria (victoriammd) What's the HSC?

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

Currently rereading Percy Jackson. :))

Is it good? I know my sister loved the series and the following ones the other did.

message 39: by Lexie, Reading and writing is my paradise! (new)

Lexie | 758 comments Mod
The HSC is the High School Certificate. It's what we get when we finish school.

message 40: by Victoria (new)

Victoria (victoriammd) Ah ok, we have kind of the same thing in France, it's called the baccalauréat and it's also really hard, so I feel your pain!

message 41: by Lexie, Reading and writing is my paradise! (new)

Lexie | 758 comments Mod
I think we actually have that too.

message 42: by Taylor (new)
