Camp Half-Blood discussion

Rachel Elizabeth Dare: Camp Half-Bloods current Oracle. You are now in her cave (which looks more like a cool cabin on the inside) and are awaiting her judgement.

[Write about your charrie going in, and have them talk to Rachel. The role of Rachel will be taken on by Ilsa and she will give you your prophecy.]

BEFORE GOING ON A QUEST, YOU MUST GET A PROPHECY FROM THE ORACLE!!!

Rachel lounged on her cool, gypsy-laced bed, facebook messaging her dad. Her classes were all online, now, which kept her parents happy enough. Explaining her life at camp had been hellish, but life had gone on.

Rachel looked at the girl who entered, glancing up from her laptop, where she had just finished an online quiz. "Yeah?"

Rachel glanced up from painting a bowl with acryllics. "Who's there?"

Rachel smiled over at Nadia. "What's up?"

"Oh, normally green mist encompasses me and I spew some cryptically depressing poem. So, what's your quest?"

Knowing the godly parents of the characters helps. Wren's, for example, is Janus.
Once I know these two things, you're prophecy will be out and kicking.))

I already had a lot of ideas of what could happen on this quest and I actually already put them down in my request for a quest, so could you look over at my request first? I can offer more details after you read it. Sorry for any inconvenience, but I feel like I already put my ideas down twice.))

Rachel's face went blank and a green mist seemed to radiate from every pore as she faced Illyana. A ghastly breeze churned throughout the cave, turning its friendly atmosphere into something vaguely threatening. She opened her mouth to speak, and the temperature dropped ten degrees suddenly.

"Mother of nine,
Titan divine
Loved by Zeus for a moment's time,

Memories await in her lair,
The path to which is hard to bear.
Relive the past in every way;
Bear the brunt of sins to pay;
Lose the life of someone dear;
Sink to despair and horrific fear.

Another wound, black as death,
A faltering hero's staggered breath,

If you succeed, can you bear
The price, the prize, of Mnemosyne's lair?

Mnemosyne is the Titan of memory. She resides in a pool near the river Lethe in Hades, a pool that grants memories rather than strips them away. She encourages people to drink. I'm thinking a path opens once Illyana has felt the full weight of her actions, thus making her more open to accepting the memories that Mnemosyne has given her. Through the prophecy, it's likely that Mnemosyne herself has taken interest and wishes to help Illyana, but the path will likely hurt a lot and gradually lower her into acceptance. Or that's the plan, until she goes crazy after drinking?))

Rachel dove, catching the lamp from a cushion where she'd been tapping something on a laptop. "Careful. Hey there, I'm Rachel... but, you probably already knew that."

"Oh," she said, "That is a problem... Come on, I've got coffee here, if you want," she offered, passing up a mug. "Tell me about it. That usually inspires something."
