This sounds like an interesting read. However, I believe in some way human kind has "really" evolved with more than 3 genders in a way, and if this planet ever was contacted by an alien race, I think we would be extremely shocked at how many species of humanoid creatures with complex genders there might be.
Indeed! I was in fact thinking over this idea after listening to a TV debate. Then, one day during a Sunday trip, it came to me the idea of really putting it into words. Only problem: how to handle the language? I mean: in a world where there are no males and females but three completely different genders, how would one call people? Keep in mind that I am not referring to any strange creature or to alien species but really of humankind.It would be kind of difficult. Maybe weird, at first, but maybe there are parallel universes just like this where people call being in a two genders system a weird concept! :)

Actually, the mating stuff is the easiest to conceive. Nature offers a few examples here and there. The main point of it all is the psychological and sociological aspects of being in such a world.
