I agree. I think Jackal was awesome.

I think this time, the whole book was predictable. There were no surprises. The end was okay if not a little too happy (apart from Kanin dying, of course.)
So, overall, It was a bit disappointing but Julie can make it all better if she writes a spin-off with Jackal.

I think he like Allie because he saw the hope she has... for so long it was only him with that hope. All the other vampires hated him because of what he did and than comes along Allie with that hope Kanin was loosing. That's what I saw with Kanin and Allie.

I liked the ending Julie got it just right, I usually dread the ending in
serials as the writer so often makes a total mess of it. Its either too
rushed or turns into an ending thats over the top, a slushy romantic tale
thats out of step with the rest of the books.
I would also like to see a follow on book to catch up with everyone
especially Jackel, what devine irony if Jackel had left only to fall
hopelessly in love with a pretty `blood bag`and could not live
with out her. I so liked his character even when he was being awful.
There is definatly a good story to him yet to be told

Okay, I expected more from The Forever Song, but it's still awesome!
When Kanin jumped I was all, "awwww Don't do this! No! Please no! aaaa"
And I hated when Zeke became that weak, sobbing punching bag. Where's the spirit? I want that human back!! At least, he is better in the end.
I wonder what happens now that there's a cure, and humans know about vampires...

I want more of them!!! If Julie ever decided to continue the book, I'll buy it in a heartbeat. I would like to see the human side/vampire Zeke after Eden. :)

YES!!!!!! I'm not alone. I was telling myself, this can't be it. There are still many cities and stories outside to explore. What about the vampire cities and rulers? We need to know more haha. I want to see Allie and Zeke's journey after Eden and maybe encounter Jackel on the way.

(view spoiler)[ The book itself was amazingly written and on par with my standards, but I feel like the ending was too predictable (girl/guy ends up together), etc. I also teared up when Kanin died. :-( (hide spoiler)]
