I don't understand why you'e making yourself wait? You can cancel your Amazon order like I did! I'll tell you -- it's worth it. It's a lovely story. :)

Wellllll... I had this idea that I'd SAVE this one for when my Christmas vacation starts next weekend. But now when the book is out, it really doesn't seem like a good idea any more. :-D
But, I'm in the middle of finishing a drawing I've promised to make — and which I'm hugely enjoying making — so that HAS to happen first. And A Case of Christmas will be my reward. That's my new plan right there... :-)

Pre-ordered in Amazon too. But like Johanna, I'm willing to wait... only because I'm also working on something. Hopefully this will make me write faster lol.

Yes!

Yes!"
Yes! Yes!!!

I agree! I found myself laughing at every bang on the door, and at one point thought that I really must count up how many different sections their long discussion got divided into.

That golf cart scene!!! OMG. :-D :-D :-D
I was grinning and laughing out loud so much throughout the whole story. So many great, witty bits! Smart, hilarious lines and words that sneak on you when you least expect. Details like Mata-Hairy! :-D
And also such vivid, telling images like: "He felt a funny little flutter in his chest, like a sea anemone had flexed and unfurled in his rib cage." Oh yes.
I loved it.

The golf cart scene is hilarious. My favorite line there is the one with the attempted groping and resettling him in the puddle.
Oh, and the sea anemone! such an awesome, brilliant image!

:-) yes, very visual, and great comedic timing that complements so well the more serious feelings and things that happen.
With every Josh story read I become (if possible) even more impressed by the insight and research and craft involved. Everything put in comes out with just enough detail to create another gem. Reading this one I realized how many writers may have taken the same starting point, then given the MCs a big reveal and a passionate reconciliation, while missing the point that Norton/Linus's report on Shane's innocence would be undermined. Taking the same starting point and then moving along to two years later was… just perfect. Although I suppose some folks will still be suspicious. Maybe the guys will have to find that Japanese sword in another episode? : )

I feel the same and even more so after reading this lovely story and the Christmas Codas.
I used that GR tool showing me my books of the year and I was surprised how much my reading preferences changed. There are so many authors and series I just lost interest in, but with Josh's books I still feel so very connected, like they tell me something about myself.

Oh yes! Makes one want to visit Catalina ASAP, right? :-)

Well said. I couldn't agree more.
And all that kind, down-to-earth wisdom behind the actions of the characters when things develop. I love how it shines in Josh's stories.

Beautifully said, dear Varecia. I think you just pointed out the very thing I admire the most in Josh's stories. They truly make me see the world and myself in it in a different light. They change the way I see the world by teaching me something profound about myself — something I didn't realize before.
And in my opinion I think that's the most valuable thing art can offer. Realizations like that. Realizations that lead to change.
What an amazing skill for an author, this.

Having just been on Catalina Island last weekend, I can say it really helps with visualizing parts of this story. I mean, the story was already very real, but now it's even more so, at least in terms of the location. :-)

Did you find the house? ;-D
Did you find the house? ;-D
No I didn't. But that's more due to me not thinking about rereading the story until after we'd left, so I had no references to go by or anything. Next time though!

While we were walking down Clarissa, I did look at all the cottages and all I could think about was not getting hit by a marauding golf cart.
Lol! I suppose it could be pretty easy to get hit with a golf cart if you're not paying attention!
It's available already on All Romance Ebooks:
https://www.allromanceebooks.com/prod...
Everyone using Amazon will have to wait until 17th December. And on Smashwords it will be available sometime around 23rd December...
Christmas just isn't the same without a Josh Lanyon Christmas story, so... enjoy, everyone! See you here later on when you've read this story with high kooky factor (Yes — Josh's exact words!). :-D
