2016 is a new year, with lots of new Aussie authors to discover (and lots of "old" waiting to be read!). We are extremely lucky to have a lot of talented writers here in our lovely country.

So this year, for our Australian Authors only challenge, we are going to have some fun - bring on the

which is in the form of an AUSSIE AUTHOR BINGO GRID!

The Rules:
#1. Aussie Authors ONLY
#2
. Read a minimum of two (2) rows - either across or down but not diagonal
#3. Where the squares overlap (if they do) you must read that square twice.
#4. Choose your rows and your LEVEL; then list (and link) your books in this challenge thread.

Make sure you check out the challenge guidelines here

There are four (4) levels of achievement:

Shelf (12 books)
Bookcase (24 books)
Library (36 books)
To infinity and beyond (36+++ books)

Some links to help you choose:

Aussie Readers Bookshelf
Australian Crime Fiction
Australian Fantasy

Favourite Aussie YA

2016 will be the year to discover some "new to you" Aussie authors! Settle back, relax and enjoy a unique reading experience!

Linda Lee My first book challenge; I hope I'm doing this right. I've selected my two rows and will do the Shelf level. If I find I have completed that, can I update to a Bookcase or Library level or do I have to stick with the level I initially choose? Once I've chosen my books, I'm supposed to provide my list with links here ... right?
I'm not an Aussie, I live in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA. I can participate in challenges, correct?
Thanks for helping me through my first challenge.

Linda you most definitely can participate...you're very welcome! If you see what I have done above your post (I'm about to add some books too!) you'll see how to set it out so it is clear. And yes, link your books so we can check them out:) As long as you read Aussie authors, it doesn't matter where you hail from :)

Indigenous Fiction - about indigenous Australia; by indigenous Aussie author - for example: Diamond Dove and Gunshot Road by Adrian Hyland, Season of Hate by Michael Costello

Actually here's my list of indigenous fiction:) https://www.goodreads.com/review/list...

message 45: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn | 3569 comments I'm in. I managed 51 Aussie authors this year (so far) so I think I should be able to fill the whole card, so either library level or beyond. Some of the squares are easy and it will be a matter of picking whichever book I happen to lay my hands on first as I would have multiple options that would suit! Others will be a bit trickier and need some planning!

I will post a list later, once I've had a bit more of a think about it. Thanks to the mods for an interesting challenge!
