Online resources (specific regions/nations):

Australian Classification Board (you can search for a list of all restricted works in Australia)

Banned Books in Australia (selected list from the University of Melbourne)

The Office for Intellectual Freedom, branch of the American Library Association dedicated to fighting censorship (If anyone figures out how to get to the actual list of US banned and/or challenged books these folks supposedly have been keeping since 1990, please let the rest of us know where it is.)

The Literature Police, website dedicated to the book, contains other resources including a bibliography

New Zealand Office of Censorship, also searchable

Saski (sissah) | 420 comments Not all of these were specifically banned, but it is still an interesting collection of people and books.

Really nice that it focuses on Nobel winners. They seem to get banned a lot. Thanks, Ruth.
