Hey guys-

While I won't be hosting a challenge next year I am asking the person who is if they would be willing to have a goodreads group for those who don't blog. I will let you know when I hear back, if not I may just keep this one going as an unofficial challenge for 2016 :)

Sandi (msrbshil) | 71 comments I'd love to see the group stay just as a fun way to see what people are reading. Doesn't have to be a challenge or official...just something fun for all!

Suzanne (Chick with Books) Yester (chickwithbooks) | 4 comments Even though I got pretty busy this year and didn't read as many library books as I had intended, I love the idea of having this "challenge". And as Sandi said above, even just having the group stay here and share their "library loot" would be great.

BJ (GoodreadscomLilcLdy57) | 131 comments My plan right now is to read more books off my own shelves. So far, I've only signed up for one challenge - A classic books one. Me, who could count the number of classics she's read on the fingers of 1 hand! I read so many library books in 2015 that I barely read any from my Nook/Kindle or freestanding shelves. Funny, that didn't keep me from buying more -- compulsive much? But it would be fun to keep this group intact, I'm sure I'll give in and check out a few from the library. Like the New Years resolutions to diet and exercise, plans can change!

Angel Parrish | 109 comments I started out the year intending to use this group to help me use the library more. Not only have I established a full dependence on the library, but interacting with the library has caused so much more richness in my reading! Since the library was promoting National Poetry Month in April, I took on reading more poetry as a challenge. Now I've read 22 poetry books--12 of which were Shakespeare plays. I've fallen in love with Shakespeare! I also decided to not spend ANY money on books this year, and I've kept track of how much money I've saved--over $700! So I would say that this group has definitely benefited me immensely!

As a new challenge, I joined another group for 2016. I'm going to be reading books that meet certain requirements on the list that this group was born from. If you like, check it out: https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/...

Bea (beasbooknook) I love how enthusiastic people are about their libraries! Some years I have practically lived at my local library, taking advantage of different services and not just checking out books. I hope this group will stay active. I think I'mgoing to enjoy getting to know you all.

BTW, I'm the person GeekyBlogger mentioned, hosting the 2016 I Love Libraries Reading Challenge, formerly hosted by Book Dragon's Lair.

Hi y'all!

Meet Bea! I am staying in the group and it will stay around. She is going to tie in this group to her challenge so there will even be a place you can officially join. You might even see some new faces :)

I am so proud of our library loving group!

Bea (beasbooknook) I'll start a thread for the actual challenge but here's the link for the info and sign-up post if you are interested in joining: http://beasbooknook.blogspot.com/2015...

Felicia mentioned that you all pretty much run the group yourselves. I'm not planning on making changes, or if I do it'll be later when I see how this group works and what you all like. That said, if you have suggestions, start a thread o send me a message on here or email me, beasbooknook@gmail.com
