Bea (beasbooknook) If anyone wants challenge themselves by reading more books from the library or just make more use of their library, I'm hosting the I Love Libraries Reading Challenge this year. It's low-key and low pressure; I want people to read more library books and support their libraries but I don't want to stress people out.

You can read about the challenge here and sign up if you're interested. Any questions or suggestions, put them below.

2016 I Love Libraries Reading Challenge
Edit: I no longer blog but I will keep tracking in this group.

I have chosen to read 24 books this year as I am going to be away for 3 months without library access. I have already read the first.

Sandi (msrbshil) | 71 comments I have finished my first library read/listen. I listened to Girls in White Dresses by Jennifer Close. I picked it because I was skimming through the downloads at the library and it looked interesting. I had not heard of the author or the book before. It basically follows some college girls as they age to thirty and go through the after college changes we all go through. I really enjoyed it. If I had read it as a book it was 291 pages. By doing the audio I saved the audible price of 23.95

BJ (GoodreadscomLilcLdy57) | 131 comments Finished my first 2 of the year from the library. The Paris Key by Juliet Blackwell, set in Paris, a contemporary re-start my life kind of novel. Main character going through a divorce goes to Paris to take over her Uncle's Locksmith shop. Loved the setting and the story was pretty good. Went back an forth between present day and the main characters mother's story during the 1980s on a trip to Paris before daughter was born. Also read Maisie Dobbs, the first in the Maisie Dobbs series by Jacqueline Winspear. Set in England after World War I, Maisie is an ex-nurse who lost her fiance in the war and now runs an investigative service. In this first book she is working a case, but you also learn a lot about her back story. I was pretty engrossed in it and enjoyed it. Will probably go on with this series.
