I finished reading Birthright Birthright by Nora Roberts by Nora Roberts.

MY RATING:

4 STARS= Very Good= Enjoyable= I liked it very much...!

MY REVIEW:

Considering my usual reading pace and daily household/parenting responsibilities, it's not often I finish a book on the same day I start it. When it does happen, it not only results in a takeaway dinner lol but it also means I really liked the book :-)

The romance—both between the lead characters Callie and Jake as well as between the secondary couple Lana and Dough—was cute and satisfying.

The ending made me smile and left me happy and satisfied.

Ayesha | 10 comments Hahahahaha...You read it in one sitting,I was going to start today since I was out of city for some reason. But I'm really glad you enjoyed this book.
You're spot on Jake and Callie's relationship is really adorable. How they bicker with each other, complete each other sentences is just so wow. They are definitely one of my favorite nora's couples.

Thanks @Ayesha :-) I know you'd already read this book and had agreed to read it again only in response to my buddy read request, and I'd originally planned to read it slowly so I could have daily discussions with you. But I got so engrossed in the book, I just had to finish it that very day. Lol.

Hope you enjoy re-reading it :-)

I plan on reading The Witness but I it's a new release,Right? I've tried reading her new books (The hollow, Pagan stone) They're fine but I believe I don't particularly like them.So I decided I leave them for a while. But now on your recommendation,I'll definitely read it.

I recently read Identity Identity by Nora Roberts by Nora Roberts.

MY RATING:

3.5 STARS

My Rating System On Goodreads:

3 STARS= Good= Quite Enjoyable= I liked it...!
4 STARS= Very Good= Enjoyable= I liked it very much...!

MY REVIEW:

To me Identity came across as predominantly Women's Fiction, with Romantic Suspense weaved in as a secondary genre.

The book was well-written and interesting, though the pacing could have been faster. There wasn't any mystery but there were crimes and the story was moderately suspenseful. The romance was good. Family bonds and friendships were heartwarming. The characterisation was awesome.

It's the kind of book people could read for enjoyment alone, yet there are also lessons to be learned if one wished to delve deeper.

The story reinforced the value of family, friends, and having a strong support system. It described how we could build a community and how much stronger we could be because of it. The courage and resilience showed by the female protagonist was inspiring. The theme of identity theft was a reminder of how important it is to safeguard our personal information in today's world.

I would not list Identity in my top ten Nora Roberts books, but I did enjoy it and the ending left me happy and satisfied.

EXCERPTS:

*******

Hiding in sleep solved nothing. When she woke, < spoiler > would still be dead, the life she'd built still in ruins. She needed to move forward—somehow, somewhere. The only choice was to move forward. Move.

*******

"I worked hard, and I made a life because I wanted to, because I could. But I was missing this, Gram, this moment right now, because I was so determined to do it all myself, for myself. I was missing really knowing you, really knowing Mom, and that means missing really knowing me, doesn't it?

Being here's shown me I don't have to do it all myself, by myself. I can have a fulfilling career and a real life at the same time. I can work hard and still have time and room for family, and for being with someone who makes me happy."

*******

"That stupid unsafe word wasn't so stupid after all."

"I'd have known anyway. You didn't use any punctuation, no uppercase letters. That's not how you text."

"I wasn't sure you'd notice that. Glad you did. I knew you were coming when you said good night. You never text good night."

"It's not a real good one when you're somewhere else."
