Justme I'm interested in seeing how people rate the books they read for a challenge. Especially when I'm looking for a book in a specific category...it's nice to see books that people really liked, as opposed to "don't bother picking up."
I've gotten bored with most challenges, so I think I'll add my own little twist. I like that the idea is to read something completely different than normal, so I'll start there. My "norm" is romance in most genres, second by paranormal. So, I will challenge myself to read outside my norm & replace any of those that sneak in (required category* & stretched**i.e., suspense w/smidge of romance) after completing the challenge.
Update: my overall reading dropped 64% (have read 1/3 normal amount), my non-fiction reading increased 200% (doubled). I read 48 new (to me) authors. I completed the challenge in September (one holdover, intermitent nonfiction reading & one switched in Oct). I have decided to relax & read norms for rest of year (though I did find a romance challenge to join). I am satisfied with my effort to choose books outside my norm.

Margo (dandylines) Banned books?
That will be interesting since the Bible was once banned!
Could include everything from Harry Potters books to Grapes of Wrath (restricted at least).
Looking forward to suggestions
