2017 Reading Challenge discussion

I read a lot of mystery novels, and this book caught my interest because it's not so formulaic. The main character is flawed, yet you root for him as he fights to win back the custody of his daughter. The whodunnit is actually secondary, but the suspense is delicious throughout the whole book.
