Good idea! There's a book on my shelf called The Book of Secrets by Elizabeth Joy Arnold which will fit this challenge perfectly.

Ok I'll read 84, Charing Cross Road which I think is about a bookshop. Hope that fits the bill!

To start with I might read The Shadow of the Wind

Going to be re-reading Inkheart by Cornelia Funke

Then i'll be reading the second and third ones as well :)

That's odd that it's on the list Sharon...as far as I can remember, and reading my review and the blurb, there's nothing about books in the story! O_o!! I could well be wrong though!

I found it on the list of And Even More #123. No worries I can find something else as there is plenty to choose from :)

According to the lists I got a couple of books to choose from..one of the obvious ones which I have still yet to get too is , could also choose from or ...

Question I have for Brenda or anyone : would count for this challenge?

Phrynne, I want to read The Book of Secrets as well - but not sure I'll get round to it this month. It will be good to see what you think of it.

Valerie, I've read 84, Charing Cross Road and it's a lovely read.

Gotherella, I've read Inkheart and enjoyed it, but haven't got around to reading Inkspell yet, and probably won't this month.

Sharon, The Perfect Husband is on my list, but doesn't sound to me like there's very much about books... I'll be interested to see what you think about it.

Sally, I read People of the Book last year and really enjoyed it.

Kadi, I'm also intending to read The Shadow of the Wind in May - my library copy is sitting there waiting for me! I'm also intending to read The Eyre Affair, but still need to get this one from the library.

No it's on the list Sharon, so you go ahead and read it! Sometimes I wonder if the people who put books on these lists have even read them;) lol

There are already some great books everyone will read for May....I've read a lot (like Kathryn) and will keep searching until I find one;)

Mmmm I said to Kathryn I wouldn't join in another challenge and try and do some "free" reading next month but there have been two books on my shelves at home that I've never read that fit into this challenge perfectly.
The Jane Austen Book Club and Left Bank Waltz: The Australian Bookshop In Paris So I will try to read these.

Your second sounds interesting, Elaine. What's it about (just briefly)? There's no blurb on GR... I'm assuming it's written from the perspective of someone running a bookshop and the strange requests they get? I see my library has it - maybe I need to add it to my list...! I'll see what you think of it first!

Kathryn I bought this one years ago in a gorgeous little book shop in Sorrento. It appealed to me because it was about an Australian woman who opens a bookshop in Paris. It's actually non-fiction. I did start reading it but never finished it for some reason that I can't remember now.

Maybe that's something to consider for your "retirement" down the track, Elaine - you can go and buy a bookshop and live in Paris while running your bookshop, hubby can sit it a cafe and drink coffees and write...!
