Thanks Oak...I just published a childrens book last year, and it was exciting but not overly financially rewarding...Question...I have always been a fan of True Crime, and Crime in general, but is it as bad as childrens books...I mean like a flooded market? Not really thinking of becoming your competition but just wondering about the other genres and their readership vs published materials.

Authors are no longer at the mercy of big publishing houses, and can now self-publish online, so there is a massive flood of new stories/authors.
No worries on being a competitor, there are enough readers out there for the flood, so I prefer to both learn from and support fellow authors. Readers know what is good and bad, so they sift through the waters and are selective.
In my opinion, you need a good story, hard work, and some luck, regardless of genre.
Hey wise advise....not sure if I'm cut out for large volume stories ....3000 word essays in school were difficult enough (smile). I might give it a shot though. I would love to read your work, I sounds quite interesting.
