Crazy for Young Adult Books discussion

I picked this one up at the library last night, so I should be read to go! LOL

Yay! I started this a little today, just because I finished the other book that I was reading and wanted a little head start since I have a lot of books to read.

I am so embarrassed! I haven't even begun to finish all my BR's from 2015. Ugh. All I can do is promise to try harder this year to stay on top!

How far are you Katie? Should I post after 5 or 10 chapters or start tomorrow?

I'll be starting tomorrow or late tonight. In my hardback 5 chapters is only 32 pages and through chapter 10 would take me to page 66 so I would say every 10 chapters unless there is something you want to say prior to that.

I'm planning on posting once I get to chapter 10. I've currently read the first 6 chapters.

10 chapters - This is a really quick and engaging read so far.

Tim (view spoiler)[Clearly, he has some issues in his life, but it seems like he's trying to be better. I feel really bad that his dad kicked him out when he is making a real effort. (hide spoiler)]

Brad (view spoiler)[I do feel kind of bad for him but there didn't seem to be much of a connection or chemistry between him and Alice. But clearly he cared about her and was really upset. (hide spoiler)]

Brad(view spoiler)[ yeah.. there definitely wasn't chemistry there. I feel bad for him but....Alice is right. I can't believe she tried to juggle a relationship. her life is way to crazy to even think about long term (hide spoiler)]

Tim and Alice(view spoiler)[ I'm totally ready for this. now that she's free, she did seem interested when she was writing stuff in the sand next to him and leaning over him....

Nan(view spoiler)[ with Tim turning to drugs, I can't help but wonder how bad her perfection and twitching has gotten. I hope she's okay (hide spoiler)]

Tim (view spoiler)[Though he clearly isn't happy about having a baby, I am glad that he is stepping up and doing his part, instead of trying to tell Hester that this is just her problem or something like that. It was really unfortunate timing that this had to happen when he was going to go on a date with Alice, because things seemed to be getting better between them, and now she doesn't trust him again. Alice (view spoiler)[I think she is really working hard to make sure her family stays afloat, and this has to be difficult for her. She has more responsibilities than she should have to have at her age. (hide spoiler)]

Hester (view spoiler)[I think she definitely should have tried to contact Tim sooner when she knew she was pregnant, instead of waiting and just showing up with a baby one day. (hide spoiler)]

I'm completely(view spoiler)[ hesitant to believe Hester's story. she's just so quick to ditch the poor baby - in the car, to a stranger.
If she'd asked for money, I'd be even more suspicious. but I can't imagine his father had an affair with a girl so young....
I NEVER would have given my baby to him. If she's going to go with adoption, she should just go with it. I don't think it's right, what she's doing (hide spoiler)]

I just finished this and really enjoyed it.
