Got my copy today. Hoping for some time to read in bed before I go to sleep tonight! Trying to get things unpacked...the kitchen is almost done.

I like the way the cover looks and the pages feel...this book almost reminds me of A Good American by Alex George

Julie I like books that have that older page type of paper too.....

Might finish it tonight, but I'm not sure!

Julie Well, I finished it and I'm not really sure what to say. The characters were quirky & some of them downright weird. I think it was really slow to begin with and I had a hard time staying interested. It wasn't until the last 120 pages or so that I thought it finally started to get good. Not really enough though; still only a three-star read for me when all is said & done.....

Julie How are you doing with this one?

Julie Sorenson | 13 comments Read the first half in just a couple of evenings. I am curious about how it will all tie together, and am enjoying the story. Also enjoying the symbolism so far....the house that is slowly falling into the ocean. Interesting.

I haven't devoted much time to it, Not sure why, what i have read so far I like. I just need to stop and give it some attention lol. Maybe here in a bit when I get finished with this chapter in The Devil's Rose by Brom

Julie Sorenson | 13 comments I enjoyed this book! I liked getting to know and understand the characters, and especially enjoyed the ending. The twists in the story were just enough to keep me reading, as I read it in just three sittings.

Julie I'm glad you liked it.....I thought it was ehhhh :)

Julie Are we going to pick a book to read together for February?

message 17: by Little Bee (new) - added it

Little Bee (littlebeesreads) | 698 comments Mod
Yes :) What do you want to read next month? Something themed romancyish? Does not matter.

I still havent finished this book....I will...I just am having a hard time picking it up and reading it for some reason. I like it when I do, but I am enjoying other books better if that makes sense

Julie I totally get it. I just thought it was ehhhh.....it was hard for me to finish it too. I read it quickly because I wanted to get to the other books I had lined up! LOL

I will read it...I don't dislike it, like I said, I enjoy when I read it, but i feel like finishing 1 page feels i should have read 10. I like things to pick up pretty quickly lol.

Julie I already have a lot of books lined up for reading next month.....do any of these ones appeal to you? You is about love.....obsessive, creepy, stalker love, but still! LOL

Necessary Lies
The Forgotten Garden
Nineteen Minutes
You

Necessary Lies by Diane Chamberlain The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult You (You, #1) by Caroline Kepnes

Julie Also Bridgett, following along with the genres that you read.....I think you would really like the Midnight, TX series by Charlaine Harris!

I rated the first book only 3 stars, but I just finished the second book & I loved it!

I read a variety :) I haven't ever read any of Charlaine Harris' books...but I will check them out.

I think of those, You seems the most interesting that may keep my fancy lol.

I will toss out some titles as well:

The Spectacular Now by Tim Tharp The Unleashing (Call of Crows, #1) by Shelly Laurenston All Broke Down (Rusk University, #2) by Cora Carmack Lizzy and Jane by Katherine Reay The Huntress of Thornbeck Forest (Thornbeck, #1) by Melanie Dickerson Kissing with Fangs (Flirting with Fangs Trilogy, #3) by Ashlyn Chase

If you want some sauce:
Sun God Seeks…Surrogate? (Accidentally Yours, #3) by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff Mermen (Mermen Trilogy, #1) by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff The Erotic Adventures of Amy and Troy Sensual Erotica The Erotic Adventures of Amy and Troy Sensual by Red Phoenix The Girl in 6E (Deanna Madden, #1) by A.R. Torre

A little mix...lol...I have so many books from that convention last May, I have barely made a dent. HA. I just came down to my book cases. Only a couple of them I didnt get from the convention. lol

Julie Pick one of yours & I will try to squeeze it in before the end of the month! :)

Is there one you like better?

message 25: by Julie (last edited Jan 28, 2016 07:21PM) (new) - rated it 3 stars

Julie I am really anal about reading series books in order, so not
All Broke Down (Rusk University, #2) by Cora Carmack or Kissing with Fangs (Flirting with Fangs Trilogy, #3) by Ashlyn Chase or Sun God Seeks…Surrogate? (Accidentally Yours, #3) by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff

LOL I meant to put the first book in the series for book 1 lol. My bad. The other two are not really necessary to read the others. I read book 2 in in the series of the second book and wasn't lost at all.

are any of the others interesting to you?

Julie Nothing grabs me.....but that's what is fun about letting someone else choose, right? ;)

that is fine :)

Julie Sorenson | 13 comments I am sorry I missed this discussion ladies!! I will see a thread once, and then not remember where I saw it, and I lose track. :( I have picked up February's book. Definitely going to be a stretch for me, but off we go!!! Happy reading. :)

Julie LOL.....that's funny Julie. I've done the same thing, so I ended up saving a Word document on my computer to keep track of what's going on in the all different groups I belong to.

LOL that is funny Julie!! I do that too. I am not part of many groups, and there seems to be a set of groups all moderated by the same people so I get double confused and have to look at each one!!
