I am kind of lost - I think I may be in this part now?

This book is pretty good. Definitely a platform for Tolstoy to share his experiences and opinions through his characters. Not as enthralling as some other "big" classics I have read, but still very good!

It has been a very long time since there has been any "War" in this book. About 300 pages of "Peace" right now!

I think Tolstoy is getting some of his opinions in again.

Ally - thanks for checking in! I don't mind talking to myself, but it is good that someone is listening! :)

I lost focus for a few days and missed my reading of this one!

Did some extra reading yesterday . . . definitely back into War . . . and Nicholas is not liking the reality of war that much!

Huge classics make me run and seek cover. Are you enjoying it?

It's not bad. It has its slow moments, but I have read books with less than 200 pages that have felt longer.

ally ¯\(ツ)/¯ (allykennedy) | 42 comments lol! so true. I tried reading Annihilation - 195 pages - and I just couldn't do it.

Another one for me was The Ocean at the End of the Lane, but I see you gave that 5 stars. I was in the minority on that one!

Wake up call for the Russian people! It seems they thought that battle was something that happens "way over there" until it comes barreling up main street of your hometown.

Man - the Russians really didn't understand the reality of war!

The War and the home front are in full collision right now.
