Books with boys like Warner ??

Switched

I believe it stands for "Too Stupid to Live"

And not keep him for myself? Yeah right.

I'll take him fokr six months you can have him for the other six. It'll work.

Its a deal.

Frost By Kate Avery Ellison
The Host By Stephanie Meyer
Warner is defiantly his own person. Hard to think about another book where there is a character like him. Warner is for sure my favorite character.

The Grisha series is an absolute favourite of mine now. I can't believe how I survived in a world without the Darkling before. Gorgeous and devastating books, they were. Thanks so much!
Any other recommendations, anyone ??

John (the baddie) is like Warner in the sense that he's sexy, attracted to/has feelings for Juliette and pretty much everyone hates him for being the head of an oppressive thingy (sorry, I just don't know what to call it)
Patrick Hayward is like Kenji due to his witty, sarcastic behavior- he's the comic relief of the book series. Patrick is so funny, I swear.
Bryn- Bryn and Juliette share a trait that I otherwise loathe- they're both unaware of how beautiful and amazing they are despite their incredible powers (and the amount of men after them)
Hope you give Eternal Eden a try! :)

lol=)

me 2222!!!

@Jennifer YES. I've read book one of Everneath and tho, I rated it 2.5, all of those stars belong to Cole. HE PULLS OFF BLACK AND BLONE HAIR! HOW AMAZING IS THAT?! But Nikki is too weak and stupid a character for me to tolerate. Juliette was understandable bcz she was mentally unstable, but Nikki was ignorant and 'virtuous' to the point of self destruction. But yes, the similarities between Cole and Aaron are undeniable.
@ Jacqueline Hmm. Never heard of this before. Need to check it out! Thanks.
@Julia. Remember- #DarknessNeverDies #ForeverSobbing Ruin and Rising ruined me. FRIGGIN PUN IS FRIGGIN INTENDED.
thanks everyone for the thoughts! Keep reading and keep the recs coming! =)

me too! my friend lana was reading shatter me at the same time and ..."
*Love your evil laugh* She is going to be so disappointed !

Switched"
Thanx

Also, your friend will change her mind. Chapter 62 is basically the literary version of brainwashing...
90% of people jumped ships, after c62.. ;)
@Mirou and Julia- Its been more than a month since I've read R&R and even know when I listen to Leigh's WinterSong, I cannot help but curl up and cry. I haven't loved a book this much, almost to the point of hysteria, since HP and PJO.
God, the Feels. And yes, the capitalization is necessary. T^T #cry
AND btw, you guys totally need to check out Rosamund Hodge,s novel, published Jan of 2014- Cruel Beauty. I have a fave of three bad boys- Warner(Shatter me), the Darkling(Grisha<3) and the Gentle Lord, and TRUST ME, the Gentle Lord in Cruel Beauty will. not. fail your expectations.
Just go and read it. Its a standalone, so no worries for series-waiting. so JUST READ IT OKAY

1) Morpheus from Splintered
2) Ash from Iron Fey -kind of, not totally
3) Julian from The Forbidden Game -old school writing but his character is HOTTTT
Oh, and I second Bipasha -I couldn't stand Patch in Hush, Hush, that book was like Twilight with a crazy guy, not my thing.

Also I secind the Forbidden Game... I've cried over Julian and I'm still waiting for that sequel.
P.S.: has anyone else read Leigh Bardugo's The Demon in The Woods?

You need to read "The Selection". Maxon is exactly like Aaron. Both abused, crappy dads, sweet, and ETC. The only difference is Maxon cannot make up his mind ;)

Well, Maxon is WAYYYY sweeter and not rude. But both know how to be formal, in case of Warner he was a commander and Maxon is a Prince..

The main character is freaking worse than Juliette. Where Juliette has redeeming qualities freaking America is like some bad cliche of the girl who gets caught in a love triangle and makes the worst possible decision so everyone gets burned.
What you should read is

This is a really great fantasy fiction novels that has the same aspects of a dystopian. People being oppressed. A character breaking out of the norms, however the love relationship is very very well written and the guy has a past and is tortured by deaths in his life similar to that tortured feeling of Warner. Kestrel is smart. like freaking crazy smart. And while Juliette took time to cry and mope, which really sealed the deal as the second book being my least favorite of the shatter me series, and to even comment on America from The Selection- Kestrel is one of those characters that you fall in love with because she doesn't pity herself or have these moments to sit in a dark room to cry and hide, and she doesn't act stupid and self righteous like America. She's witty and she makes actually sensible decisions. The first two books are out and the second book's ending is probably the best ending I've ever read because it's 100% shocking, you-could-not-have-seen-that-coming-whatsovever kind of endings.
In The Selection, Maxon is nothing like Warner. Maxon is seen as this kind of soft prince kind of guy and the only reason why you think he'd be stronger is this shocker later in the series which was kind of... well I felt it was just thrown in there to make readers stop saying that the series was a princess and prince version of The Bachelor.
The Selection series is HEAVY HEAVY HEAVY love triangle so I really urge everyone not to read it if you're not into that kind of thing. When I finished the last book I was like "finally it's over ! I'm free!" Because they're just not an enjoyable set of books in the long run.

And even though you may not have liked Nikki from

Other books I will say to read besides

Quick hits to the qualities of said books:
Six of Crows:
Written by the same author as the Grisha series
crazy great and well thought out plot in all kinds of ways
loves that make your heart ache
Kaz being VERY similar to Warner
Sexual innuendos to die for. SO funny
The winners curse:
actually a smart heroine who's easy to like
boy with a hidden past who gives off the same vibe as Warner of that internal conflict
well done and well structured plot
the wrath and the dawn:
If Warner is troubled then Khalid is the czar of Misery and Torment
smart and likeable heroine
good plot with good development- understandable motives
love between the two main characters breaks hearts at the very last page- mucho feels
Under the Never Sky:
This series will forever be one of my favorites just because it really takes you to a whole different world entirely. When reading shatter me, personally, that book made me slightly insane as I inhaled it, but with this book... it's the same way... but different. This series transports and breaches past any kind of written world so far in the whole YA genre, and it's very well done in the fact that it's almost tangible.
The characters are great, antagonists are scary as shit, and the two lovers start off as enemies same as Warner and Juliette. There's development that's MUCH more substantial than in books mirroring reality tv shows such as the bachelor or flavor flave (cough cough. KIERA CASS) and it's this development that drives my affections for this particular couple, in the same way that I love Warner and Juliette as a couple (even though I'd survive if it was just Warner in the picture).
