But you just finished the book before and MUST know what's going to happen in the next book of the series, and can not stand waiting for the book to be shipped to you. so you purchase the damn ebook.

Standalones are so annoying in my opinion. Almost every time I read a standalone I find myself wanting more. I guess it depends on the book, though.

Bookish problem 48: When the book is told from multiple view points and only two of them have interesting story lines but then the Author leaves you on a cliff while they fill up the next few chapters with lesser people/stories that are just a bore.
