The first link is an eclectic collection of poems more sophisticated, with cultural (literary, religious, philosophical) allusions, but nonetheless firmly rooted in reality, the world of a middle-aged lonely and poor woman, that's me. The second book is a continuation ( only 29 poems) of the previous one, with more accent on womanhood issues. I am eager to read good free ebooks of poetry or short stories.

It's a study on how Dante Alighieri' The Divine Comedy is the key to understanding S. T. Coleridge' The Rime of the Ancient Mariner.

Ironically, though Dante was 'known' in the Romantic Period, his poetry was not read, the reason being that there were very few translations available. This has meant that the idea of the Sommo Poeta having any real influence on English Romantic poets has never been studied.

Yet, I discovered that Coleridge did borrow a translation of Dante's Commedia and allegedly even had an original version.

Once you start reading his 'Rime of the Ancient Mariner', through Dante's Commedia the whole poem aquires a new dimension, and the 'mysterious' sin of the Mariner is not 'mysterious' at all...
