Cathy | 553 comments Last year I started with the intention of reading or rereading all of Virginia Woolf's novels, but life and other books got in the way and I only managed the first two on my list, so my first intention is to continue with this challenge throughout the year.

I also want to read more about traditional stories, fairytales and folk tales and writers influenced by them. A few books I've got lined up on this theme are
Gossip from the Forest
The Wild Girl
The Beast's Garden
The Rental Heart and Other Fairytales
The Gracekeepers

And my other goal this year is to read more by new writers - here's a couple I've got lined up
The Last Pilot
Spill Simmer Falter Wither

I think that lot should keep me going for a while!

Cathy | 553 comments Jason - I was hoping 'house' would turn up in the wordsearch so you could read To the Lighthouse all over again ;)

Nice to know there are other VW fans, Pat. I think she's an acquired taste.

Pat Morris-jones | 1373 comments Jason you are outnumbered. My friend, not a Goodreads person you will be delighted to know. Also loves VW. Be afraid Jason, be very afraid.....

message 8: by Jason (new)

Jason (jasondenness) | 1877 comments pfft! You think I am scared of you two? All I need to do is hide by a lighthouse and you will have no idea how to get there. :)

Pat Morris-jones | 1373 comments We women can search you out! Its 3 too, I can involve my friend! Give up now.

message 10: by Jason (new)

Jason (jasondenness) | 1877 comments We'll see, wait til I read another one of her books and then destroy it. You'll soon be crying.

Bringing it back from Jason's hijacking of your thread, have you got Grimm Tales: For Young and Old?

message 13: by Jason (new)

Jason (jasondenness) | 1877 comments In my defence I only said I had another VW to read and then they attacked me, maybe the group needs a fight-room.

I got The Blue Fairy Book to read this year.

Cathy | 553 comments Jason, we love you really. One day you will see the light(house)...

Paul, I haven't read that one yet but it is also on my wishlist. I'm currently reading The Wild Girl which is about the Grimms and Dortchen Wild, who told them some of the stories they collected.
