In previous books Holly is portrayed as little more than a slutty shallow gold digger type. It's my understanding that Holly wasn't meant to have a book but fans wanted it. So we get the story behind Holly. The real Holly that not even her co-workers knew. I don't want to reveal any spoilers so I will leave it at that. Let me just say I fell in love with her!

I like her, and even though this is a fantasy series, I relate to her so well. Despite everything that has been thrown at her, she keeps going. She defends those who are defenseless. She finds a reason to smile.

A young widow, Clare works to improve the neighborhoods and lives of kids, in spite of difficult setbacks.
