A - Z Author Challenge
>
What it is

Yeah, it is quite a long challenge, but I think it's worth it as it encourages people to try new authors :)

That's what I'm doing at the moment, will have to buy/borrow some for the more obscure letters though!

Is this something that new members can start now?
I would quite like to do this challenge, but am wondering if I am too late.

Like you, I think it will be great to try out completely new authors.
I've been working through an alternative A-Z challenge- on titles of books.

Now that sounds interesting too, might do that myself, as I have loads of books to read! May give me incentive to get through them.
Are you going to list them on this section for us to see what you have read?

that likes fun lynne! I think I could do A-Z change-on titles of book just on my james pattersons books lol!

I have a hard copy and also an audio version which is really lovely to listen to.

Who knows they might find some great bargains and actually end up enjoying what they find !"
No Problem Merlin, your right I am sure they will find a gem. Since I own a web site about supporting self-published authors, I am always there to remind people not to forget about the Indie authors.

which I thought might be helpful for others. Lists author websites so might not be comprehensive but could be a good start.

Open up a new thread Lorraine - click on A - Z Author Challenge at top of page, then click on New Topic to set up your own dedicated thread. Call it summit like "Lorraine's A to Z 2012" or whatever suits it best.
Books mentioned in this topic
The Persian Expedition (other topics)The Book Thief (other topics)
Rules:
1. Do not include books you read before starting the challenge
2. The challenge letter must be the same as the first letter of the author's last name.
3. Post which book you read for which letter in the correct discussion topic in the A - Z Author Challenge and say whether you enjoyed reading it or not.
4. Books don't have to be read in A - Z author but can be if you want.
There is no rush to finish the challenge, just read at a pace you enjoy. It is a good way to encourage yourself to try out new authors, or at least vary the authors whose books you read.
If you get stuck for ideas, there is a group bookshelf (Here: http://www.goodreads.com/group/booksh...) with a suggestion of books, which will be the top book for each Author letter taken from Amazon UK.
If you have any questions, post them here.
