What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

About 20 years ago, I started to read a fantasy novel that was set in and around Hampshire/Dorset England. It featured a female writer I believe, that met with a group of Saxon warriors on Salisbury plain. They were some sort of cursed bunch of warriors that were destined to endlessly roam the earth until their sins were forgiven. They had some association with crows or ravens. It was set around Winchester Hill. The books cover featured crows or ravens.

You can always search google by typing in" (remove the brackets)

and use Cursed, Saxon Warriors, etc. as the keyword for an exact phrase. Without " " for a more general search.
