If anyone wants to do their own personal challenge and list their books read and pages for this year then please feel free to do so here. You can name and challenge and see how you get on. Good way of tracking too.

Happy reading!

Darkslyric | 117 comments Alphabet Challenge: The challenge is to read one book that has a title starting with every letter of the alphabet. You can drop the A’s and The’s from the book titles. Crossovers to other challenges are allowed. I do hope others join in the challenge as well. Wishing us all luck with all of our 2016 Challenges,

message 9: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten (kmcripn) I read nearly 50,000 pages last year. So this year I plan on shooting for 75,000.

message 10: by Leah (last edited Feb 01, 2016 11:51AM) (new)

Leah Labbe | 104 comments My standard is usually to shoot for an average of 100 pages per day, or 36,500 pages for the year. I actually was just over 125 pages per day for last year, so I think that is where I am going to start my challenge this year.
125 pages per day = 45,625 pages for the year.

2/1 - Update: January was not so good for me - with bronchitis (twice!), I am behind on reading. I started getting caught up this past weekend, but I am currently 1,500 pages behind.

X-Files books? Actually, when I think about it, I have a friend who writes sci-fi who has a book called Xenophobia. I'm sure he'd be happy to offer everyone on this challenge his book for Free in exchange for a review. He's a pretty good writer.

Here's the book: Xenophobia. Anyone interested, just message me or post here, and I'll check in with Peter Cawdron about it. He's another Aussie author.

You do not have to do it alphabetically. This can be just your individual goal. The alphabet challenge is a side challenge. I am not going to list all of my books alphabetically - just one for each letter for that challenge.

I have 27 books completed, but my post above shows only 14 for the alphabet challenge.

Hi Gary - Since I am tracking everything for the Group 1.5M page challenge, I was checking if all your books were on both. You have Mint Cookie Murder listed as 186 pages in the Group page, and 218 here.
Using the 186 page, I show a total pages of 3,164 or 3,196 if you use the 218. If the 218 is correct, let me know and I will update, and adjust the group total next time I post there. :)

I have over 50 books finished, so I'd have multiple books listed for each letter if I did it that way.

I have X and Y left, and I have books picked out. I think I am going to take a short break from the list though, as I just picked up some other new books from the store that I really want to read.

No Problem! I found it was the easiest way, since I already have a huge to-read list, and I figured I should try and whittle it down a little, instead of just adding more :).
