Kswaxman | 7 comments Hi. I would greatly appreciate any comments about my first book, Ajak's Song. Ajak's Song recounts my journey to a Dinka village in the heart of South Sudan, working as a surgeon with Doctors Without Borders. I attempt to take the reader with me to a land of incredible beauty, human courage, and tribal magic, juxtaposed against great tragedies of untreated disease and injury. I come to appreciate that despite the ravages of its past and turmoils of the present, South Sudan is filled with hope for its future. Ajak is a young girl who suffers a terrible snake bite to her leg. In desperate attempts to save her from amputation, I operated on Ajak multiple times. Each time she awoke from anesthesia, Ajak opened her eyes, smiled, and began singing a song of hope.

Muphyn | 711 comments Above the comment box, there's a "add book/author" link. Click on that and then type in your book title or ISBN and "add" to your post. Hope it works. :)
