Hi everyone!

The year has started, and I'll be adding some more challenges as we go. If you think of a challenge that you wish we had, please let me know and I'll add it.

Bogi Takács | 3 comments This is very cool! Thank you for starting the group :)

I started the translations challenge. I think most of the books I'll be reading for it will be Russian SF translated into Hungarian, to be honest, so I don't know how useful my picks will be to other people...

I have two challenge ideas in mind that I'd personally like to do:

1. #ownvoices challenge (minority people writing about their own minority)

2. Trans/NB/GQ/etc non-cis-people authors challenge :) (I just got three more books for this! Yay)

Bogi Takács | 3 comments Thank you! I joined them. \O/ I set myself quite optimistic goals but I think I will have books that qualify for multiple challenges.

Serena | 1 comments Hi, thanks for creating this group!
A quick question! Can we share GR/external lists with books related to the different challenges?

I'm interested in this too - I wrote about a week ago about my plans for 2016, including books by PoC, people with disabilities, and people with LGBTQIA identities.

Oh, and graphic novels, too! I want to read graphic novels by diverse authors too.

Please do share external lists, and let us know what you enjoyed, if you've read any!

Christina Vasilevski (cvasilevski) | 4 comments Well, here's my list of diverse books I hope to read in 2016 (or at least, the *types* of books I want to read): http://booksandtea.ca/2015/12/reading...

Also, here's a reading challenge from the Festival of Literary Diversity, a Canadian event:

The festival itself is at www.thefoldcanada.org

Bogi Takács | 3 comments Wow, I really like this idea of reading one each from a very long list of different categories. Thank you Christina! Now I feel tempted to make my own similar list...

There are some books I plan to read that will fill multiple categories. Part of me thinks that's cheating, though.
